Extraordinary Election – No Nominations Received

Following the close of nominations on 7 June, the Shire had received no nominations.

If, at the close of nominations for an extraordinary election there are no candidates or the number of candidates is less than the number of offices to be filled at the election, the council may appoint (by Absolute Majority) to any unfilled office a person who would be eligible to be a candidate for election to the office and who is willing to accept the appointment.

Council will consider the matter at the 15 June 2022 Ordinary Council meeting.
