BUSHFIRE BRIGADES’ ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Shire of Mingenew Bushfire Brigades’ is to be held on Monday 25 March 2019, commencing at 6pm in Council Chambers at the Shire Offices, Victoria St.

The agenda includes welcome and introduction, election of Brigade office bearers, review of the previous fire season, discussion and updates on funding, updates on fire related matters and general business.

Expressions of Interest
Independent Living Unit

The Shire of Mingenew currently has one 2×1 Until available for rent on King Street. Applicants should provide a letter outlining the reasons for requesting one of the units and as a guide the following information should be provided;
o Name and age of applicant(s)
o Current Address
o Awareness of any Medical Conditions
o Pets
o Any Other Information you may consider important
To be considered for the Independent Living Units applicants must be over the age of 55 and successful person(s) will be selected based on the information provided in their letters of submission.
Expressions of Interest will be received until 4.30pm on Friday 1 March 2019 and should be marked to the attention of the Community Services Coordinator and titled “Expressions of Interest – Independent Living Units”.

POOL/SPA BARRIER INSPECTIONS
2019

Notice is hereby given to owners and occupiers that private pool and spa barrier inspections will be commencing throughout the Shire of Mingenew in the coming new year as per the Building Regulations 2012.

This is a timely reminder to property owners and occupiers that under these Regulations you have a legal obligation to maintain your pool/spa safety barriers at all times and in accordance with the Building Regulations 2012.

If you wish to seek further information about your barriers prior to inspection, please contact the City of Greater Geraldton’s Building Department on (08) 9956 6600.

If you have a property with a pool or spa, please ensure it is listed with the Shire, which can be done via email enquires@mingenew.wa.gov.au or at the office reception, so it can placed on the Pool Register.

Request for Quotations –
Supply of road construction plant and operators

The Shire of Mingenew invites quotations for the Supply of Road Construction Plant and Operators. Works will consist of a small number of selected roadworks projects (or portions thereof) for the remainder of the 2018/19 financial year.

Notice of  Half Road Closure

Due to works being undertaken at the entry to CBH located on Eleanor Street Mingenew and the proximity to the railway crossing  there will be a Half Road Closure in place Friday 5th October 7am – 5pm

Please note road signage and drive to the implemented Traffic Management speed restrictions of 40 KM/H
