Whether you’re stopping for a coffee, staying overnight or exploring the region, Mingenew offers a range of free public amenities to make your visit comfortable.
Public toilets are available at several convenient locations throughout town:
- 4 Victoria Road (behind the Mingenew Bakery) – accessible, open 24 hours.
- 19 Victoria Road (between Town Hall and Shire Admin) – accessible, open 24 hours.
- 4 Mingenew Morawa Road (BP 24 hour fuel depot) – accessible, open 24 hours.
- Sportsground Road, Mingenew Recreation Centre – accessible, key required for access from Shire Admin

The town’s main recreation space, Cecil Newton Park is a great place to stop, relax or let the kids burn off some energy.

Mingenew is supplied with safe, potable scheme water. Visitors can refill water bottles at public facilities including the Caravan Park and Visitor Centre, during opening hours. There is also a drinking fountain located at Cecil Newton Park.
Tap water from public amenities is safe to drink.
RV parking
Free RV parking is available in town, conveniently located opposite the Mingenew Hotel and Bakery. Additional overnight RV parking is also available at Yandanooka and Enanty Barn.
Potable water
A public drinking water tap is available opposite the Mingenew Bakery for travellers to refill water containers.
Caravan & RV Dump Point
Location: Midlands Road, adjacent to the Mingenew Caravan Park and near the Mingenew Visitors Centre. Approximately 30 Midlands Road, Mingenew WA 6522

Mingenew provides a Dump-Ezy dump point for caravans and motorhomes, allowing for the safe disposal of black and grey water.
Please note: Water at the dump point is not potable and is not suitable for drinking.

Offering powered and unpowered sites, the Mingenew Spring Caravan Park is conveniently located close to the town centre, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.
Mingenew Roadhouse
Location: 44–45 Midlands Road
Full-service roadhouse offering petrol and diesel, convenience store, food and refreshments. Open daily (approximately 5:30 am–7:30 pm).
BP truckstop
Location: Mingenew–Morawa Road
24-hour automated truck stop with high-flow diesel and fuel for heavy vehicles and travellers.
Electric Vehicle Charging
There are currently no public EV charging stations within Mingenew.
The nearest public charging stations are:
- Morawa – 33 Dreghorn Street (approximately 45 km)
- Eneabba – 3 Eneabba Drive (approximately 90 km)
- Dongara – 30 Moreton Terrace (approximately 105 km)
If you’re travelling by electric vehicle, we recommend planning your journey and checking charger availability before departing using the Chargefox or PlugShare apps, as live charger status can change.
Free public wifi is available at Cecil Newton Park.

While Mingenew doesn’t currently have a dedicated off-leash dog park, dogs are welcome in many public open spaces provided they are kept under effective control, and owners clean up after them.
Popular places to enjoy a walk with your dog include:
- Cecil Newton Park – 3 Shenton Street, dog waste bag dispensers available and public bins
- Mingenew Hill
- Mingenew Recreation Centre surrounds
Please note:
- Dogs must comply with the Shire of Mingenew’s local laws and the Dog Act 1976 (WA).
- Always carry waste bags and dispose of dog waste responsibly.
- Some reserves and recreation areas may require dogs to remain on a lead.
- Dogs are NOT permitted at Coalseam Conservation Park

The Mingenew Post Office operates inside the Mingenew Community Resource Centre on Victoria Road, offering postal services, banking, a gift shop, and local community resources.
The Shire of Mingenew is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone can access local services, facilities and public spaces. Key accessibility features across the town include:
- Accessible pathways and a sensory playground at Cecil Newton Park, designed to improve connectivity and provide safe access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
- Accessible ramps at key community facilities, including the Shire Administration, local shops, the Community Resource Centre (CRC), Post Office and The Exchange.
- Accessible public bathrooms are located around town, including behind the Bakery, at the BP 24 Hour fuel depot, Mingenew Recreation Centre and at the Shire office.
- Information in alternative formats is available from the Shire on request to help ensure information is accessible to everyone.
The Shire also maintains a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2024–2029, which outlines its commitment to improving access, inclusion and participation for people with disability, their families and carers across all Shire services and facilities
