For the safety of our staff and customers, please be advised that Shire Administration office will be closed Monday, 17 November 2025 while clean up and repairs are undertaken following a fire that broke out on Friday afternoon after an alleged lithium battery explosion. We are pleased to report that all staff are safe and unharmed, and there is no extensive damage to property or equipment.

Our sincerest thanks to the Dongara and Morawa Fire Brigade members, as well as Western Power and North Midlands Electrical who attended to ensure the fire was appropriately extinguished and the building was safe for entry.

Department of Transport (vehicle and driver licensing) transactions will not be possible on Monday however, our staff will be available to take calls and respond to emails as they work remotely during the office closure.
