The Shire of Mingenew has received an application to convert an existing shed from Building Code of Australia Class 10A (non-habitable) standard to a Class 1A (habitable) standard upon 2142 (Lot 33) Depot Hill Road, Nangetty to serve as Workforce Accommodation.
Lot 33 contains the Western Australia Space Centre which is operated by SSC Space Australia Pty Ltd.

‘Workforce Accommodation’ is listed as a land use that must be advertised for comment in the ‘Rural’ zone and the Shire is inviting comment upon this application.

The application and received submissions will then be presented to the meeting of Council that will be held on 22 April 2026 at the Council Chambers, 21 Victoria Street, Mingenew commencing at 5:00pm and is open to the public should you wish to attend.
