Mingenew Christmas Tree

If you’re lucky enough to be in Mingenew at Christmas time, be sure to visit the Mingenew Community Christmas Tree. This festive event offers community members and tourists the opportunity to experience a real country, Midwest Mingenew Christmas.

The event will again be held at the Sports Club this year.

There will be a free sausage sizzle and soft drinks, as well as the option to purchase food and (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks. Please note, there will be no BYO and only limited cash-out facilities.

Mingenew Races

When was the last time you had a day at the races?

Our family-friendly race day just keeps getting bigger every year, as Mingenew rolls out the country town hospitality and welcomes racegoers to a full day event, and a variety of entertainment for all ages.

Race day patrons have access to full TAB facilities, bar and food services and are encouraged to frock up for fashions on the field. See the Mingenew Turf Club Facebook Page for more information and contacts.

2019 SunSmart North Midlands Junior Tennis Tournament

This fun and inclusive competition will take place at Mingenew Tennis Club on Saturday 7 December with the following divisions for boys and girls (ages as a guide only):

  • FastNet Doubles* (7-10 years)
  • Junior Doubles* (11-12 years)
  • Senior Doubles* (13-16 years)
  • Singles- Open

*Don’t have a doubles partner for your child? No worries, we’ll find them one.

The tournament is open to all children aged between 7 and 16 years in the North Midlands zone, regardless of whether they are member of their local tennis club. This year we are extending the invitation to children from other small regional communities that neighbour our zone (such as Walkaway and Dongara).
